3 suspects in US trader’s murder

 Camp Gen. Garcia, Cavite — Police have arrested three of the four suspects who robbed and fatally shot Michael Richard Jensen, an American business executive, at his residence in a plush subdivision in Silang municipality last Tuesday.

Senior Supt. Arthur Velasco Bisnar, Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) director, withheld the identities of the suspects for the meantime as they were undergoing questioning yesterday.

“Three suspects were already in (police) custody. Custodial investigation is ongoing. There is still one suspect who remains at large,” Bisnar told The Manila Bulletin.

A Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) led by Bisnar was created following the incident at Jensen’s house in Chateaux de Paris Subdivision in Barangay Inchican at 9:30 p.m. last Tuesday.

Supt. Janet L. Arinabo, PPO information officer and SITG member, reported that Jensen succumbed to a bullet wound in the head at South Luzon Hospital in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

Arinabo, citing a report of the Silang Municipal Police Station, said that four men took off with a laptop, cellphones, and cash amounting to P3,000 after killing Jensen.

Police Officer 2 Benjamin Ian P. Gran, case investigator, said that the intruders scaled the fence and broke the glass door of Jensen’s house in order to gain entry. Luckily, none of Jensen’s family members was  harmed by the armed robbers.

Bisnar said the hunt for the fourth suspect in the robbery-murder case was still ongoing as of press time yesterday afternoon.
